Because of the international nature of our business, our practice has experience of international commercial dispute resolution in foreign and domestic courts and arbitral tribunals. In this connection we have dealt with international arbitrations under the auspices of the London Court of International Arbitration, the International Chamber of Commerce, the London Maritime Arbitrators Association, Lloyd's Open Form of Salvage Agreement.
The subject matter of these arbitrations varies from marine litigation through international trade and commodity disputes to disputes over commercial agreements for the supply of goods and services of many different kinds. We have extensive experience of obtaining security in connection with claims of this kind using tactics such as the seizure and arrest of assets both in the UK and abroad. We have considerable experience of jurisdiction disputes and obtaining anti-suit injunctions with a view to ensuring that our clients' matters are submitted to the most advantageous forum.
